I am unable to use ftp to log into my local freebsd server. I can use http and use the webgui page in freebsd. I checked users and groups and passwords and the ftp service in the webgui and I am using filezilla. Before resetting the freebsd defaults, is there something that I could be overlooking?

I need to clarify, it is freenas, not freebsd! I get an access denied error except when using the administrator webgui.

I reset the box to its factory defaults and it now works. The first time I booted it up (yesterday) I had to set a static ip address. Then I found it would not let me use any of the services.
