HTML Ampersand Codes
Updated: 07.01.2010
Ampersand codes are quite handy for inserting characters in HTML that HTML would
otherwise recognize as either a control character or something it can't deal with. They
are quite useful in UBB text messages as well.

Use these codes for inserting special characters:
In the following chart, there are 255 characters that can be inserted in HTML
code or a UBB message — so that while these characters cannot be inserted literally
in your document, the ampersand escape sequence will allow the characters to be viewed in
your rendered document. The numbers in the chart below are the "Ampersand"
codes that permit the use of the special characters that follow them. To use these
characters in your document enter an ampersand (&) followed by the "hash" or
"pound sign" (#) then to be followed by the three digit code given below and to
finally be followed by a semicolon (;). ™ will, for instance, produce the
trade mark symbol (™) in your HTML document or UBB message. We'll
suggest, however, that you limit your usage to the "printable characters" and
experiment with numbers 001 through 032 and 127 at home. (Wider Table)
